| The Toronto North Lions “Golden
Monarchs” Drum Corps was formed in the Fall of. 1962 and
are, appearing for the first time as such, this year.
Featuring a new drill and new music combined with their
Cadet style uniforms, the Corps has been a crowd pleaser
wherever it has appeared. In its first competition at
the Lions Convention parade in Cornwall, the Corps
placed second. Although the
“Golden Monarchs” are an offshoot of a now defunct
Corps, we won’t take credit for our many championship
titles but prefer to start off this year as the new
Corps that we in fact are.
Featuring an all girl Colour Guard
under the instruction of Bill Coy the Corps on the field
will be commanded by our new Drum Major Jim Stewart.
For Bookings. of the Corps please
contact Mr. Bill Craik, Director or Mr. Dick Brown,
Corps Commander.
